Dear StarNote Team,
I am a huge fan of StarNote and truly appreciate how Consistently you Engage with your User base—it Speaks Volumes about your C****ommitment to the product. While there are a few features I’m looking forward to that is currently lacking in app, I am excited to see how the app continues to E****volve !
In my opinion you guys are the STAR in StarNote! Thanks for being Amazing to us. I wrote to you some months ago concerning your current hyperlinking functionality.
To help with your roadmap, here are a few improvement outline that would significantly boost productivity:
To add a hyperlink to text:
Choose the link target from the pop-up list. Here's the choice of link target types:
•External link (web page)
•Internal document (current or other document)
•Custom (select text, paragraph) add link to it.
•Image (internal/ external)
•Make links invisible by choosing whether or not to apply Default Style settings to the link display text, by selecting or deselecting the Use checkbox. Change the default style colour and effects (bold, italic, and underline), as required. A preview of the styled display text is shown in the Preview field. Be able to Edit display text, if required.
NOTE 1: Style settings, and font, can be appplied either before or after the hyperlink is formed. At freewill I can return to that link and apply changes as desired.
NOTE 2: Allow links created in StarNote to be fully functional after export to other platforms.
Hyperlink to image:
Please implement 'Image Hotspots.' It would be incredibly helpful to allow us to map multiple hyperlinks onto a single image. This would allow for interactive diagrams where different sections of an image lead to different notes, or external websites greatly enhancing our ability to create visual knowledge maps.
Bidirectional Link:
StarNote should consider implementing a "Powerful linking system" similar to RemNote, specifically emphasizing the efficiency gains provided by bi-directional linking.
•This feature would increase user productivity by allowing for better knowledge management and faster navigation between related notes. Investigate the "knowledge graph" or "backlinking" implementation models used by tools like RemNote or Obsidian to improve Starnote's workflow.
Hyperlink search: Requesting a 'list or sidebar' that aggregates every hyperlink currently present in their database.
Design implementation logic:
The app should index all tags or markdown, link syntax (url) across all documents. Provide a search or filterable list within a "Links" tab or ''sidebar''. Which allow users to see the context/source note for each link.
BUG REPORT:
I am experiencing a usability issue where links are not behaving as expected in "Reader Mode," suggesting that a single tap should trigger link navigation rather than links moving.
BUG REPORT: The app is failing to visually distinguish hyperlinks from plain text, and it is failing to provide a direct "tap-to-open" interaction. The only workaround i have to access a link is by "Select all text" from pop-up menu tap ''Open''. Frustrating much !
