Before and After: 9 months PO. TT, muscle and hernia repair, FDL, no lipo
I have some extreme results, but I had a rough starting point. I developed severe muscle separation and a hernia during my 2nd pregnancy and then continued to have 2 more babies, so my fascia is lax, and my intenstines were essentially sitting outside of my abs stretching out my skin and becoming a dangerous situation. So surgery was necessary for the hernia and muscle repair with mesh. She skin removal became an option I chose to opt for a plastic surgeon to join in and do it right, I didn’t care to be without a belly button or come back for revisions later. Due to severity of the situation (which I finally felt heard about because I knew this was serious, but was never taken seriously) I was not at an ideal “goal weight” and also had a 9 month old baby I was still nursing and continued to nurse for another 10 months. My weight prior to surgery was 190, 5’6” 31 years old. They removed 4 lbs of skin, did a tummy tuck fleur de lis without lipo. I had 3 drains, two of which were removed at 1 week and the last at 2 weeks. I’m grateful I didn’t do lipo, but I’m sure it would have shaped me more. 9 months out and I do have some flanks, but honestly.. I don’t care!
This after photo was taken at 185 pounds. I’ve since lost nearly 30 more pounds, but just never remember to take more photos. It’s more about the lifestyle improvement for me than the vanity tbh, and that’s why I wanted to share in case it helps anyone. I have a unique story and I don’t see very many posts of people who are like me. I’m an open book for anyone who has questions!
