Hi everyone,
I finally build up the courage to make a post here. I’m currently 30 weeks pregnant and am quite anxious about labour. I initially chose the hospital as it’s safer (access to doctors and equipment in an emergency), but have been thinking about a birthing centre as there is one is the hospital where I’m supposed to give birth so I could be transferred to the hospital if needed My options are Lothian birthing centre or Royal Infirmary Edinburgh. So far my pregnancy is low risk so I was offered all options. I’m just looking for other people’s experiences during labour and will discuss my options with my midwife again. My main concern is anxiety (as I have it already) and birthing centre sound a lot more calmer, however pain relief is limited. Thank you for reading this ☺️
