Now the title might not be very exciting to many, but about 2 1/2 years ago I went to the doctor because I couldn't walk 50 meters unaided and at 49 I was referred for a left knee replacement which took place in Feb'24. At the time I was told my right knee was also failing and I had a maximum of 2 years before it also needed replacing.

Today I received an appointment from my consultant for my right knee replacement, 2 years to the month after I was discharged from my successful left knee replacement.

This got me thinking.... This morning in the gym, I ran, without thinking I ran. I wanted to show my PT something mid workout, while my wife did an exercise, so didn't want to waste time and both me and my PT ran to the other side of the gym.

I've spent the last 18 months focusing on losing weight and getting fitter. I started my journey with TRT in Nov'24 which helped massively with my depression, lack of enthusiasm for life and general feeling of wellbeing. Nov'24 - Feb'25 I'd lost 10kg just from diet and exercise, but I was struggling with insane food noise.

I started Mounjaro Feb'25 initially just to help with the food noise, but this stuff is/was amazing. Feb'25 - Oct'25 I lost another 26kg, 36kg in total, this is the longest period I've ever managed to successfully diet. 134kg down to 98kg.

Since Oct'25 to today I'm now maintaining at around 96kg using a mixture of Tirz & Reta from grey sources. I can now run and I'm not sure I need a 2nd knee replacement anymore 😮
