It takes place in the future as people are left to live underground only traveling through holes and sometimes if they have to on the surface at night as during the day the sun had scourched the earth after the ozone layer was apperantly destroyed with the sun apperantly infecting some creature turning them into mindless beast who want to kill but in reality it was due to testing of bioweapons and a failure of safety because eventually if people believed they did it they would be killed but if they had control they would be seen as savior so someone close to the main character is infected and now has the goal of saving them and possibly discovering what really happened and a cure which can save most
