I’ve been collecting criterion’s for a while now and it’s been great to finally catch up on releases I wasn’t allowed to buy when younger. I got this haul a few days ago (let it settle in) but the first disc I watched was the By Brakhage set, specifically Mothlight (love how pretty some of the movies are). The Science is Fiction set is something I’ve been meaning to own for a while as well. The movies I haven’t seen (in full) are: Gummo, The Robert Downy Sr set, Return to Reason, Harakiri (watched yesterday, fantastic), Science is Fiction, and Monterey Pop. I’m thinking about other movies to buy, but honestly I’m satisfied with what I have now, need to watch some of my backlog and rewatch a few that I haven’t seen, excited to pick up Desperate Living though (caught a 35mm print a while ago and loved it).
