honest question - how broken is cold chain monitoring in 2026?

i keep reading about all these fancy IoT and AI platforms but from what i can tell a lot of places are still checking temps manually and doing compliance in excel. is that actually true or am i wrong?

would love to hear from anyone in pharma, food, or any temp controlled logistics - especially smaller operations. what's your biggest headache?
