Train Question From an American Visiting Soon
My family of 3 (me/wife/teen) are going to be in the UK for about a week in June. The plan is a few days in Edinburgh, go to London for the rest.
The only major thing we have planned is the Warner Brothers Harry Potter Studio Tour. We will need to get there, already have admission tickets.
We will need to get from Edinburgh to London. We were also interested in possibly seeing Bath, possibly Sterling while up in Scotland.
I'm getting myself a little twisted/lost in the weeds and could use some advice. Is the BritRail Pass for us? If so what version!? We do NOT care about first class vs. coach. Is there any other sort of train pass I should consider? OR is it better to just book a train from Edinburgh to London, and then the other things ala carte?
Any advice is appreciated. For reference, we're from Chicago so we're used to taking trains here but it's a single city with 1 company (CTA) basically.
