Our living room and kitchen are connected and fairly small so while some noise is expected, the jet engine we bought was beyond unacceptable.

I assumed I'd be able to do more research and I'd easily find a solution, but it's proving difficult. I've even used all the major LLMs which didn't help all that much.

Budget is even out the window if needed, but a key requirement is a backsplash, and that rules out Bosch/Miele which seem to be well regarded in terms of being quiet.

Currently, I'm down to looking at LG and KitchenAid but I'm seeing mixed reviews at best. Any tips at all would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
