Fraud-as-a-Service is the new SaaS

Every week I see a founder say they hit some insane revenue number after building for like 11 days.

Then you open the product and it’s just a ChatGPT wrapper with a nicer font and a waitlist.

And somehow every startup already has:
enterprise clients
investor interest
“strong retention"
and a founder posting screenshots of Stripe in dark mode that they probably got from a telegram group chat

But that's the best part: the revenue math.

“I built this AI tool 3 weeks ago and we already crossed $1M ARR.”

Translation:
One recruiter accidentally bought the yearly plan.

Also every AI demo now:
“Watch as our autonomous agent completely replaces a human worker.”

The autonomous agent:

  • calls OpenAI API
  • waits 11 seconds
  • returns malformed JSON
  • crashes if you type “hello” too fast

It has definitely lost its original feel. The amount of fake momentum in the space is crazy. Half the ecosystem feels like founders selling subscriptions to other founders so everyone can tweet about growth.

Feels like we skipped “fake it till you make it” and went straight to “fake everything till Series A.”

Sharespot: Submitted to the App Store!

Sharespot is a journal app where your profile IS the journal!!

you log the stuff you actually love: music, films, books, photos, thoughts, and each one stacks onto your profile as a post. over time the grid itself becomes the artifact: scroll someone's profile and you're scrolling who they are.

it's fully customizable, you pick a profile color and it themes EVERYTHING. the app ui, your message bubbles, your comment replies, your post backgrounds. it's YOU.

then there's Collections, where you save posts you love into themed groups you create. "films that wrecked me," "summer 2025 albums," whatever. you save posts from other people on the app, and end up connecting with people who love the same stuff you do!

there are also 3 main shelves on everyones profile: movies, songs, books (you can hide or display any of them). these are where you show what you're watching, watched, or want to watch (same with songs and books). you can rate and leave reviews on movies and books, AND go through other people's shelves to see what THEY have.

I want everyone to have a social app where YOU are what matters, not your follower count, or how many likes your post has. Your taste, and personality, thats what counts.

solo founder, built it in 6 weeks, iOS-first. ask me anything!!
