Image 1 — Can Giant Sequoia needles be used as a brown? If you're not familiar, they are barbed and quite rigid. about 5-12 inches long. Or smashed pinecones? what about unsalted peanut shells?   I have cardboard, too, but I'm not sure about the glues they use? If you can't tell, I need browns !

they are quite pokey- not nice on the skin, but I'm not sure if that translates to how they are used in the bin? Even if I smash them up I'm guessing they will still retain some of their "spikiness" I have some Ponderosa needles on site as well.
