Arioc's Needle, Dreadfang, or Decapitator Death RW (For Warlock Echoing Strike)?
Hi all, have a question similar to my question in regards to gear about using Arachnid Mesh over Gheed's Wager.
So during Ladder, I've come across a 5 soc Decapitator, a Dreadfang, and more recently, Arioc's Needle which apparently has found it's home in Echoing Strike Warlock. Off ladder, I have a Warlock that does echoing strike in the typical build you'd expect from him, and I've been of three minds about either one of these weapons being poised on my mainhand.
for Arioc's, the one that I have is a +4 to skills with a 193ED rating, and the ignore defense can be handy, but everything else is fairly mundane to me.
For the Death RW, I've been hoping that an ETH Decapitator would drop at some point given the RW gives native indestructible to it, but so far, I've only found 5 sock Decapitators. Death gives mana steal, which seems to be the one downside of playing Warlock (even with Insight Merc, ironically did use Insight as a mainhand at times) so that would be helpful, along with having a blood golem buddy and the crushing blow with 5 duplicates would also easily melt foes, but I feel the ED won't be up to snuff unless the weapon is ETH.
And Dread Fang. At points I've tried to sell this item because I thought it would be valuable given it's a recent new unique and feels primed for Warlock Echoing Strike, but now I'm more compelled to keep it. It can proc amplify damage, has points to mirrored blades, mana steal, and the faster IAS and bonus attack rating are also no slouch. But the ONLY reason I would use Dread Fang is that I've come across a nasty habit of accidentally sacrificing a demon that has cursed and then having to do multiple runs to farm the 'perfect' Haphaesto in the hopes to get a combo of Fanaticism + Cursed, and I'd rather not deal with the hassle of it and just go with a demon with a good aura and use my main hand to proc the Amp.
Let me know which one would be ideal for when the ladder ends as I can't grant these items to Warlock until then. I got the runes for Death already off ladder and I'm fine tossing a few since I've never made Death for the chronicle if it turns out crummy, and arioc's and dread fang are also not ladder exclusive that I'm that pressed to move them over.
