Maybe this is a Steve Martin moment, but I just saw an interview with Patrick Walsh where he is recounting someone who used to be on SNL told him that every time they would go into the NBC Talent gym, Max Weinberg would have his leg up on the vanity and be hitting the undercarriage with a steady stream of hot air. I couldn’t remember if this was ever actually figured out or if they had just settled on Stone Phillips.
