had a power outage for 6 hours last night and learned something about myself
came home around 7, no lights on the whole block. lit a candle, opened a window, sat on the floor.
at first i was annoyed. then like 20 minutes in i realized the apartment had never been that quiet. no fridge hum, no router clicking, no upstairs neighbor stomping around because their tv was also off.
i sat there for 4 hours just looking at the candle. when the lights came back on the apartment felt loud in a way i hadnt noticed before.
unplugging the router tonight to see if it helps. anyone else have a power outage moment that stuck with you
