Hey everyone, I finally made the choice to jump back into Linux since Windows 11 was becoming quite slow and unusable on my laptop that I can't currently upgrade but still is quite capable.

The last time I used Linux was back in 2013, but since then things have changed quite dramatically. I found myself using more open source and beautifully desgined software that works locally and without the cloud, I mostly use my computer for writing and browsing the internet and Ubuntu works quite well, the fans are always silent when I am not doing anything demanding, I can play Minecraft and some casual games I found on flatpak, I am really loving technology again, my PC truly feels mine, especially since Windows 11 was already quite bloated and became unbelievably awful after they introduced copilot into every corner of the OS.

I really hate AI, having the ability to just block AI features on Firefox with one simple click was satisfying as hell, and the best part, I discovered that Firefox has animated themes!

That was just a short story of how enjoyable Ubuntu is, a huge thank you to the awesome developers creating beautiful software that respects my privacy and looks quite nice too!

If anyone is interested in the apps I have pinned on the left, please don't hesitate to ask, I found these apps very helpful when I am writing or working with docs, it could also be helpful for you too if that's your usage case, they are of course all from flatpak, and are open source.
