Having an issue with carpet beetles in the front porch and worried it might spread to the house generally. Been tackling it in there with daily hoovering and cleaning, with some chemical treatments used. But everyday a few more adults come down from where i think is like the focus of the activity. Its the crack between the ceiling and wall and whilst i have brushed up it to knock any down and sprayed with treatments, a few keep coming down the next day.
Is this an issue of the lifecycle of new larve becoming adults and turning up without being killed by the treatments? if so how long is the wait for all old larve to grow to adulthood if that makes sense
