New = Broken and used?

Just spent almost $800 on a new whirlpool dishwasher at Home Depot after ours went out. Waited 4-5 days for delivery, it comes with a broken rack, water inside and stinks? They told us we have to wait til next Thurs to pick it up, meanwhile it's in the middle of the kitchen in the way. Nothing can go right when we get things it's ridiculous.
