Hello, vacuum people, I am seeking your wisdom!

• I'm located in the US
• all carpet (more or less)
• three long haired cats
• looking for something bagged because i cannot be trusted with a canister of dust

The flowchart leads me to believe an upright vacuum would be the best fit.

I am trying to decide between a cheaper Kenmore (maybe BU1018 or Elite Pet Friendly 31150) or something pricier like the Sebo Dart. Are they really worth the extra $300-$400? Would appreciate feedback there, or suggestions for other models I should consider. Thank you for your time!

I currently have a Dyson that I can't wait to go Office Space on so I think anything will be an upgrade :)

ETA: also I live in the middle of nowhere so used options are extremely limited unless I want to drive 100+ miles (and I would really rather not)
