Location: Marion County, FL, rural/unincorporated (not within any city limits)
We're looking at moving some family onto this 10 acre property in Marion County, FL, and the plan is to put a new mobile home on it for them. There's three currently on the property, all relatively close together (150' or so from each other), so there's a lot of open space.
Obviously we need to figure this out on the regulation side, and figure out what's legally possible here or how this can be done, what would be required, etc.. Who would we talk to about that? Is there a specialty of lawyer we should look for? Just talk to the county? I'm not sure where to start here.
And then obviously water, septic, and power needs to be figured out too. Who do we talk to for legal approval on those things? I imagine Department of Health for septic, but I don't know who else. The way I see that going is getting contractors to make up a plan and send it to (x) person, is that about right?
If anyone knows anything additional aside from what the right people are to talk to, I'd love to hear it.
