I've seen many people argue that Jax will be the antagonist or Caine was but I just don't think that's true. Gooseworx said that the idea of the show is finding meaning in a stagnant life. If you look at even the most basic elements of the show all the character all the problems were caused by the existence of the the circus. I'm not saying the characters will have a big moment where they escape the circus, but instead a more quiet and unsaid moment of acceptance of their situation. Even with the high likely-hood that Jax will play an antagonistic role in the finally he is one of the protagonists and where did his problems come from? the circus.
