I'm 38M. I recently got to know that I have BAV due to an echo done as part of a routine health check. Rest of the numbers seem fine, there is a mild regurgitation. My cardiologist (and Chatgpt) said it's a symptom of BAV itself- since the valves don't close with perfect alignment, there's bound to be some leakage. I have moderately high triglycerides and overall lipid profile. The cardiologist has said, for now, there is nothing to worry as per the echo, but still wants to a coronary angiogram ct to rule out any blockages. I'm still freaking out about the long term implications and uncertainties due to this. It's also somewhat confusing - some folks go without ever needing any surgery their entire lives whereas some need it at a young age. What do you guys think?
