Mag Latch Pin Walking Out Ruger American Gen II Ranch
Hello, is anyone else experiencing their mag latch pin walking out when operating the rifle normally. I just picked up this Ranch in .308 from Bass Pro. I was cleaning it and cycling the bolt a few times to wear it in and this latch pin fell out. It’s a pain because you have to use the assembly tool in the box to get the latch, pin, and spring all lined up and back together. I put some super glue on both ends to see if it’ll hold. I’m still not confident because simple pressure with my finger is enough to recess the pin. Also, I’ve noticed the mag is difficult to seat when the bolt is closed. I know it helps to press near the latch side of the mag to seat it but it’s still pretty tough getting it to click into place. Any advice is appreciated! Would Ruger be able to help out with this?
