Hello I am an International student coming from the United States. I am trying to rent a place in Leiden and I am not sure if it is real or not given the fact I can’t be there for another month. I found a place on facebook and messaged the guy on what’s app and he said that place was already taken but he has another. Showed me pictures and a video, address, and asked me to come see it tomorrow in person before I told him I wasn’t in country. Everything seems right but I’m still just not sure how to be 100% sure so I don’t get scammed. He wants to send a contract that would have me pay first month’s rent and the security deposit. But I would like to be sure before I pay that. Any thoughts?
