I had to call in yesterday to report my partner getting sick, so I wasn’t able to show up for work. I wasn’t sure about reporting it at first because we technically don’t live together but we spend time together more often than not and it’s better to be safe than sorry and get fired for not reporting something, my manager tells me not to come to work and puts in the report.
meanwhile I’ve had today requested off since March.

My manager calls me this morning telling me I need to be there because SSR cleared me yesterday. is it REQUIRED for me as a manager to come in on a day off because I needed to report something? at this point, am I not able to technically put in sick pay due to something needing to be reported?
