Nervous about going to church. Any advice?

I guess the title pretty much sums it up. I've been dealing with a lot of anxiety and isolating myself for about 6 years now. I used to live alone, far away from my friends and family. I used to go to a church where I felt a deep connection with God, but I had to move because I was fired from my job and needed financial help. I lost my faith around the same time.

Now I've rediscovered my faith, I moved closer to my family and friends and I decided not to let the social anxiety isolate me more than it already has especially since I believe finding a community of people with the same values as you is so important.

I talked to the pastor. He is a really nice man. Understanding, patient and kind. I have no reason to believe this will go bad. Could you give me any tips to ease the nervousness I feel? I know everyone is a little bit nervous going to a new place for the first time.
