I've been browsing the bookstores for newer gay male authors and am coming up short. I like reading the older authors well enough, but I'm also curious what younger (~30s) gay authors are writing about. Are there just none, or are they simply not getting published?

The queer lit sections seem to be very non-binary heavy, while today's occasional gay and lesbian books are reactionary, anti-trans rhetoric that say very little of their experiences as gay people.

I feel like literature is one of the areas where the Queer umbrella isn't applicable. All of us in our community have experiences unique to our identities and orientations. There's a lot of gay and lesbian representation prior to 2000, but our community has evolved a lot since then, and I'd like to read the perspectives of those who came out in the last 15/20 years.
