Getting from Busan to Seoul after Chuseok
Hello. I searched the subreddit and found similar situations, but I had a specific question.
My wife and I are planning on being in Busan from 9/23 until 9/27 and have a flight out of ICN at 4:30 pm on 9/28. Normally on overseas trips, we will check into a hotel near the departure airport the night before leaving, just to reduce travel stress. But I understand Chuseok is on 9/25, and assume intercity travel would be very difficult anytime between 9/24 and 9/27.
So should we:
Still attempt to get to Seoul from Busan on Sunday 9/27? I'd be ok flying into Gimpo, but would prefer not to.
Leave Busan early Monday morning on 9/28 to catch a 4:30pm flight out of ICN? Is this a realistic option? Will that still be a difficult intercity travel day due to the holiday?
Do something else that I haven't considered (ie reformat the itinerary so we are nearer to Seoul for the tail end of our trip)?
