I have the ice chains, but by the time I've pulled the van up and hopped out the ice has cracked before I can enter a hut, have been trying for ages and getting dunked every time. Am I missing something?

EDIT: Have managed to get into a hut, but the ice cracks in there too??? Genuinely dumbfounded.
