We’re building a physical AI platform for skilled trades.
The core technical challenge: deploy a multimodal AI system in uncontrolled physical environments - variable lighting, constrained camera angles, hundreds of visually similar components, anomalies invisible to untrained eyes. Real-time inference. No public dataset.
You’ll own everything technical as hire #1:
• Vision + language model orchestration pipeline with real latency constraints
• RAG over domain knowledge that was never structured for AI (manufacturer specs, tribal expertise, technical docs across thousands of product variants)
• Native mobile app with on-device AI integrations
• Cloud infra: compute, auth, data persistence, monitoring
• Pilot deployments with real users at real field sites
Must have: Computer vision in production (not just API calls), LLM/RAG pipeline experience, 0-to-1 track record, early-stage startup experience.
Founder background: Commercial, M&A, and fundraising experience across deep-tech and skilled trades. Has scaled startups into publicly traded platforms and raised hundreds of millions throughout his career. Pre-seed funded ($1M raised). Pilot sites secured.
Comp: $175K–$225K base + 1–5% equity
