I put a thin matte film screen protector on my MacBook Pro.
It's thinner than the bezel gasket and doesn't touch anything inside when closed. It's much thinner than the ghost blanket I ordered which was still thinker than the gasket (the sound of closing the MacBook deadened a lot with it inside).
I'll post here the minute the screen explodes 😉
