Anyone 188cm/6’2” riding a 56 Specialized or M/L TCR?

Currently riding a TCR in size L, completely slammed with a 110mm stem. Just sat on a mate’s 56 S-Works SL8 and another mate’s M/L TCR, both had about 25mm spacers but I’d estimate 100mm stem. Both had plenty of seatpost. Both these guys are shorter than me - I’d say 5’10” the S-Works guy and 6’ the TCR. Both these bikes ‘felt’ like a good fit. Just wish needing whether others have similar experience of a slightly smaller frameset?

Thin film to cover filler prior to painting?

Hi all. Recently restored, original Edwardian timber front door. Fully prepped, some gaps in joints filled. A couple of months on, there is some cracking in the paint in areas where the timber seems to have moved around some of the joints. For example, there are a couple of areas where I assume old holes in the door (made for locks?) have been filled in with cut-to-size piece of wood and filled around the edges. Cracks in the paint are now appearing around these edges. The paint used was a Farrow & Ball satin floor paint, which is suitable for interior and exterior use. The door is a front door but it is within a porch area (exposed to the elements at the front but set back into the porch by about a metre). What are my options?

  1. Sand back cracked paint areas, make some deeper gouges in the timber around affected joint areas; fill with Ronseal high performance two-part filler; sand back and repaint
  2. Same as above but apply some sort of film to cover over the joint areas and paint over that?
  3. Use some different types of primer/undercoat over the cracking areas - any suggestions? A Zinsser product? PVA?

Any help appreciated. Thank you.

Paris Roubaix Challenge feed stations?

Anyone who’s done this: there are feed stations, right? Website not very clear on this point. Are they like on a UK sportive where people stop for a bit, or just grab and go? Do you need to pay for stuff? Do you need to take any food on the bike other than a few gels? Don’t really want to be carrying a ton of stuff. Any tips appreciated.
