A friend has recently (25/04/2026) moved out. She had an “airtag found near me” notification.

When I review findmy, it shows the air tag at two locations (old/parents address, new address) with no obvious travel with her - connecting line is as the crow flies.

She has multiple notifications with the following “first seen” times/locations:

27/04/2026 0714 - Parents House
28/04/2026 0035 - New Address
29/04/2026 0403 - Parents House
30/04/2026 2148 - Parents House

Shes not been in her parents house at those times. Shes obviously concerned she is being tracked but I don’t think it necessarily looks like that. The tracker doesnt show as with her/her vehicle at the moment and she cant make it make a sound.

Are the first seen/ last seen dates and times even relevant to when the device was with you? Or was it just the first/last time the device was connected recently. If so, does it correspond to the location shown on find my? That wouldnt make sense in this case because she wasnt in those locations at those times.

My thoughts are this is likely a mover, or a parent’s air tag and that the dates and times shown are about the devices connection to the internet and not when the device has been with her.

Could someone with a bit more understanding of airtags weigh in and tell me if im way off base and she should be worrying about a stalker, or someone living in her parents basement.

Hope this makes sense. The whole things got me quite confused as when Ive previously seen an “airtag with me” notification its always shown me the exact journey I shared with it and it was easy enough to identify the cause.
