Can I feed my corn snake a cut up boiled egg?
Hiya, r/cornsnake! I know this question has been asked before by others but I like to be thorough and specific lol so I'm asking again but more detailed.
My girl is currently nearly 3 years (her birthday is coming up next month) and I want to try more variety in her diet so I feel like giving her something as a treat, so why not an egg. I'm aware they eat eggs in the wild and I'm also aware they can't have them as a stable diet so this is just going to be a rare treat. And speaking of this treat, that's why I'm here.
Can I give my snake a boiled chicken egg, I'm thinking i can put it on a plate and cut it up then put it in her take and see how she fairs with it? This will be her first time trying it but tbh i trust she'll be fine, shes a ferocious eater and eats no matter her temperment, if she's in shed, day or night. I bet she'll smell it like crazy first before eating it but that's prolly cause she'll know its different. She did it when i changed the size of mice as she grew.
So what do we think? Can i give her a egg?
