Looking for input specifically from drivers who were active pre-2020 and post-2022.

Trying to separate long-term trend vs newer driver experience.

Started in June 2018.

Ended September 22, 2024. Not full time obviously.

I didn’t just stop randomly.

I stopped at exactly 10,000 trips.

Breakdown:

– 6,949 people

– 3,051 food deliveries

Over that time I watched the system change:

– steady pay decline early on

– insane spike during COVID (food delivery)

– stabilization in 2021–mid 2022

– then a clear shift around July 2022 where things never felt the same again.

I know it depends on the area however this is widespread.

I’m not driving anymore, but I’m curious:

Do current drivers feel like summer of 2022 was the turning point too?

Quick question. I transitioned from rideshare to delivery because of repeated stress, safety concerns, and instability. I want to see how many other drivers followed the same path. Thanks for your input.
