im a native new yorker and when I'm in manhattan I've recently started embracing the "I'm walkin here" energy. this is not your episode of sex and the city where you walk the sidewalk in a chorus line. im on my way to work and I will make room if your group is hogging the concrete. or if your backpack is about to push me onto the subway tracks I will literally move it as I'm passing by. these people are clueless of the space they take up. like I get that bug-eyed tourists are having their moment, but this isn't disney world. get out the wayyy
