This is my first post here but I'm a bit concerned about my cat. She's 5 years old and I've had her for 3 years. A few weeks ago I took her to the vet for the first time since I've had her. I waited so long because she was healthy, aside from a little chubby, a 100% indoor cat and we dont have any other animals so I wasn't to concerned about rabies, fiv vaccines etc. Anyway, I took her in 2 weeks ago and she got an updated rabies, distemper, FIV and leukemia vaccines. She did really well and im schedule to bring her back for the leukemia booster in two weeks. The vet said she's a bit overweight and to limit treats, my mom had a really bad habit of giving her temptations by the handful despite my best attempts to stop it, so I've gotten my mom to stop that entirely, and lowered the amount of food she gets each day. Vet also wanted me to do some oral care so I've been giving her toothpaste everyday since. We noticed some slight behavior changes before she went to the vet, my mom is a nanny and a new kid she was watching stressed my cat out so she wouldn't go downstairs as much. Since taking her to the vet she stays in my or my mom's room for almost the entire day. Shes still eating, drinking, and using the bathroom like normal but I'm a bit worried. Does anyone know what this might be? Like I said I have an appointment for two weeks out but if it might be something serious I dont want to wait.
