DEC Application response time
Hello,
I have applied to several fish and wildlife technician positions with the DEC over the past month and have not heard back from any of them. I am wondering if it is likely that they have moved on or if there is still a chance I am being considered.
The positions I applied for were all fish and wildlife technician positions (either 1 or 2) in the marine resources department. I just completed my masters in marine science specifically in a shellfish lab so I felt very qualified. I attached my resume, cover letter and both undergrad and grad transcripts for each application. The earliest due date for applications was April 7 and the latest was April 27.
I have heard that it can take a long time to hear back about applications with the DEC but I figured since many of these positions were temporary they would want to hire someone quickly.
Is there still a chance I will hear back about these applications?
