Codex has been declining for me for the past two days
Ok, I am just gonna say it. Codex has been declining for me for the past two days. Extremely slow that's for sure - and it also feels like the "intelligence" has been degraded or maybe it is something in the harness after v0.130.0
I experience it running more in circles and continuing to fall back to mediocre and buggy solutions even though the instructions are quite clear. Yesterday it took 6 hours back and forth to add a rather simple feature I would have expected to take no more than an hour. I am still fixing the bugs it created today.
I have been using Codex on 20x daily (and nightly in periods) since September 2025, and as far as I remember, I haven't experienced this kind of degradation since the GPT-5.1 days. It has been an absolute monster up until now.
Also worth mentioning, that I experience the same perceived degradation across several different projects.
Anyone else seeing anything similar?
