My poor pup needs back surgery. Came on very suddenly and now we are considering cancelling our trip. Problem is in all my wisdom I booked non refundable hotel stay (Full Prepayment at Time of Booking/non Refundable/no Changes). I'm looking at being out $3k if I don't cancel and its a huge bummer as we have been saving for this trip for a long time.

Any advice on a way to convince them to give me a hotel credit for future booking? Escalate it to someone who may be kind enough to assist in my situation? I called the support line and they basically told me to kick rocks.
