This is Question 10b of the Cambridge Yr 11 Extension 1 Maths NSW Second Edition in Chapter 17 A Combinatorics - Factorial Notation

Find the largest power of

i. 2, that is a divisor of 100!

ii. 5, that is a divisor of 100!

This question can be done without Legendre’s formula apparently, I just am having trouble figuring out how. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Ik majority of people would say EoS but honestly the other two - especially Thursday - have contestingly dark concepts. So imo I would do

1. Thursday

2. EoS

3. HoB

Idk I just wanna see what other people think
