Are these lentils spoiled?
I put canned lentils in a strainer to rinse, rolled them around gently and then tipped them into the pot.
I know lentils can come in different colors, I'm concerned because the different colored ones are so close together. In my mind if the supplier added multiple types of lentils into a batch that they should be uniformly spread out like a salt-and-pepper mixture, not all clustered together like this.
Couldn't tell you if they're slimy because I rinsed them. They don't smell foul.
Just wondering if anyone has seen discoloration like this in canned lentils.
