Hello from California

My 5th grader was assigned your beautiful state of Maine for her state float project. She's got some books on Maine en route to her via the public library, but after she read through Maine's info page in her 50 states book this morning, she's decided she wants to include the following artifacts on her float:

-a lobster
-a pine cone
-a moose
-a lighthouse

There isn't that much surface area for her to work with on her shoebox, but would love confirmation that she chose representative things for your state. I'm sure she'd appreciate any corrections or suggestions. Thanks!

Old/Dated references

What kinds of "old" or dated references does the show make that you think younger viewers don't understand and/or just goes over their head?

Like, "for once, I'm not gonna be Jan Brady. I'm gonna be Marcia, damn it." 🏈 Oh, my nose!

Or Dennis trying to balloon boy the kid in the park. Or the TiVo sounds that Liz & Criss make.

(And I welcome younger viewers to comment "Is that a real __" on however many you don't understand.)

There are so many amazing scenes where you just have to laugh-cringe at the second-hand embarrassment for the characters. Which is your favorite?

While I love Stevie telling (and overly bronzed) David, "There's something wrong with your face" when he & Moira are trying to sell Allez Vous, I just LOVE when Moira says, "Stevie, what the f-ck" when she's in full Sally Bowles/Liza Minnelli/cabaret 'fit and Stevie finally shows up, ha. 💀
