my mom rescued this turtle from an abandoned hoarding situation and we’re looking to find her a really loving and experienced home to give her the life she may have never had. does anyone know of a good turtle rescue or someone who would be willing to take her on (only with proof of experience)? we’re not taking any money for her, the tank, hide, bowl etc. (probably all needs to be replaced and/or bigger anyways). she is really sweet and still active/curious. Looking to re home ASAP!!
UPDATE: hi all i wanted to update you that our turtle girl has found a wonderful home today with Devin and his family who we found via this thread! Her new name is Carrie and she now lives with her new turtle friend, Charolette, in the most beautiful garden with everything a turtle would need. she went from surviving a hoarding crack house to what can only be described as a fabulous turtle penthouse in the upper east side. Devin is so wonderful and warm that he actually came and applied for a job with our company. so we’re happy to develop a relationship with him and maintain a connection to Carrie. thank you all for the help and ideas and support getting this girl the new life she deserves! 🐢💚
