Mihawk and Imu’s throne look similar?
Similar eyes and a sword pose. There is definitely something going on

It was fun, interesting, scary, and tragic, with beautiful panels and great storytelling. The characters, the emotions, and the unpredictable moments made it such a unique experience. Reading it felt like going through a roller coaster of feelings. Thank you for creating such a memorable story, Fujimoto-sensei.
This moment is creepy because it quietly shows the true nature of Makima in Chainsaw Man. She stands calmly while mice surround her, which subtly suggests control and dominance. Mice usually symbolize small, powerless creatures, so the scene implies that people around her are like that to her.
The line about the “country mouse” references the fable about different ways of living, but here it feels unsettling because she talks about it so casually while clearly being the one in control. Her calm attitude makes the moment much creepier than if she were openly threatening someone.
I’m looking for gothic movies. They can be fantasy or crime. For example, movies or shows like Sleepy Hollow, From Hell, or Penny Dreadful. I really enjoy dark, gothic atmospheres with mysterious characters, old cities, and a Victorian-era aesthetic.
I see a lot of comments like “that character suffered so much” or “his character development is insane,” and obviously that doesn’t necessarily mean the character is well written. For example, Makima doesn’t really have character development and we know almost nothing about her backstory, yet she is still one of the best villains.
I also think people underestimate fun or entertaining characters. For instance, Aki has one of the best conclusions in manga, but I still think Bisky is better written simply because she is a more enjoyable character and she makes the Greed Island arc better.
In the same way, Luffy isn’t a very deep or tragic character, but his determination makes him a “symbol of hope,” which makes him a very well-written character.
I hope I explained my point well. What do you guys think?
