I’ve been having pre-syncope symptoms for some time now. It started last year in May, I was driving and all of a sudden I got extremely light headed and felt that I was going to pass out, that it made me go into a panic attack. Ever since then I’ve been lightheaded/ feeling like I was going to pass out mostly every single day and occasionally I would have heart palpitations. Speed up to 2 months ago I got laid off from my job due to some shady things they were doing to where the business had to close, my symptoms skyrocketed. I get pre-syncope symptoms while I’m sitting on my couch or laying in bed. I can barely go out and grocery shop, I felt like all of these symptoms were just anxiety, so a few days ago I finally had enough and made an appointment with my primary care doctor to talk about maybe going on some anti anxiety meds. While taking my vitals my resting heart rate was 130, so my doctor decided to do an ekg which captured some heart palpitations. I also did some blood work which had some abnormalities, so he had me come back to the lab to get more blood taken to do a blood smear which I have not gotten any test results yet. He also ordered me a holter monitor, which the cardiologists have not called me yet to schedule to get it fitted. I guess I’m just nervous about all of this because I’ve been telling myself it’s just been anxiety for so long, when really it could be a bigger issue. Does anyone else have or have had anything similar to me? Could I have had an underlying issue that the stress from losing my job made the symptoms 10 times worse?
