7w6d pregnant here. Extremely nauseous to everything but carbs and of course having carbs will skyrocket my blood sugar levels. So i am severely depressed and can’t decide what to eat. I can’t eat anything without gagging and spitting it out, even thinking about vegetables makes me want to throw up.
I know high blood sugars will be bad for my baby, i don’t want to hurt my baby but i also can’t eat anything. My brain has ultimately decided that i’d rather stay hungry than eat anything. Wish me luck y’all.
[I take 30/70 admixture huminsulin twice a day - 16 units before breakfast and 12 units before dinner. For lunch spikes my endo gave me insulin aspart and i take it based on the amount of carbs i am consuming.]

I am nearly 7 weeks pregnant. My post lunch sugars have been only around 200-220 never less than 140. Tried to manage this by eating no carbs at all but nausea doesn’t allow me to eat some stuff. So i went to see my endo and he told me to take a short acting insulin along with 30/70 admixture i take twice a day. He told me to take 6-8 units of fast acting insulin but i read on google that 1 unit reduces ur BG by 50 mg/dL. So 6 units should reduce it by 300 mg/dL. I was like what?? Then my doc also told me to take the insulin dose depending on ur blood glucose levels at that moment.

I have never taken a correction dose like this. So please can someone guide me or help me understand this better. Please.

Also i ate like half a bowl of rice today with an omelette because that’s the only thing that my nausea allowed me to eat today.

Hello!

I am 6 weeks pregnant and i am craving carbs. So i cave in today and had rice for lunch today and for the first time in a week I wasn’t gagging while eating. But after 3 hours i checked my bg and it was 196. Not that shocking but i had small portion of rice only. Anybody can help? Please
