Mentally exhausted from years of misogyny in my career

As it says, I work with clients on a daily basis. Lately it’s just become so apparent to me how much “extra” work I have to do simply because male clients will write me off, disregard what I say, etc.

The other women I work with experience this too.

I work in the financial sector, and am very knowledgeable of my job, one of the best on my team.

I’ve seen though how easy my male counterparts have it dealing with their assigned male clients. It’s as simple as that”here’s what you need to do” and the clients just listen.

Me and the other women it’s always some sort of push back, clients not following through, us needing to follow up constantly.

Our communication is basically the same across the board in my role-regardless of gender.

I’ve found myself so many times having to get male management involved to simply just regurgitate the information I’ve provided clients so that they are willing to accept it.

It’s becoming exhausting.

Property taxes killing Gen z buyers

Lookin for thoughts on this.

I work in real estate and the property taxes in this state are killing Gen z/younger buyers (in addition to basically everyone else).

I’ve come across numerous prospective buyers who would qualify for mortgages if their property taxes rate wasn’t so high. Some condos in Chicago etc have relative to income selling prices but the property taxes are coming in at around the same as principal and interest….sometimes even more.

I know a handful of people who have had to relocate or move out of state because they could no longer afford their mortgage/housing costs in this state.

Im worried about the impacts of this & for see a Gen z, Gen Alpha great migration to areas where the cost of living is less, especially with the rise of remote jobs.

Thoughts on this?
