Hi everyone,

My wife and I are visiting Japan from 31 Oct to 11 Nov. We’ll be in Tokyo (31 Oct–3 Nov, staying in Nihombashi), then heading to Kanazawa and Kyoto, before returning to Tokyo for our final few days (8–11 Nov).

For that second Tokyo stay, I’d love to experience a different neighbourhood and would really appreciate some advice.

I’ve looked into Ginza, which seems great but quite expensive, so I’m curious about alternatives that might suit us better.

We’re particularly interested in:

  • Good coffee spots (third-wave, independent cafés)
  • Art galleries / design-focused areas
  • Local artisan shops, especially for men’s fashion (quality, craftsmanship, Japanese brands)
  • Great food (open to anything)

We’re not really into anime/manga, but I am very into Japanese car culture if there’s anything worth checking out in or around Tokyo.

Would love any neighbourhood recommendations, and if you have specific cafés/shops/areas you’d suggest, even better.

Thanks in advance!
