Wtf why?

Wtf why?

I am assuming this is a bug/glitch since it only applies to one of my accounts and not the other, and if it’s not and is intended this is a genuinely retarded decision, why would you implement this for some accounts and not others? You want to complete rush or arena pass? You in the wrong group? Well fuck you, you don’t get to complete those while other people get to for no fucking reason.

What sect would you join?

You, unfortunately, are born into the Gu World as an otherworldly demon. Luckily, you are born into one of the best possible regions to live in, Central Continent, and it is discovered that you do have a Gu Master aptitude, meaning you can join a sect. Which sect do you join and why? I had to put multiple sects together to fit all the sects in this poll, so explain your reasoning for the specific sect down in the comments.

Genuinely why the fuck did SP decide to add a summon block to all dragons that are L rarity and above?

Does anyone know why they did this? Is it a temporary thing? Is it permanent? Genuinely might just quit the game if it stays, that is so dumb

What are the rules on reuploaded or stolen art?

So somebody in this subreddit took a popular subreddit art post from over 5 years ago, did not credit the original poster, presented it as their own, and reuploaded it. I want to know what the rules are on that are? Is it grounds for the post to be removed?

Being positive for once.

So I realized the other day that a significant chunk of my posts and comments are nothing but criticism toward Dragon City, which, while deserved, I feel like it gives off the wrong impression that I hate Dragon City or something, which I don't. So here is a post that goes over some things about Dragon City that I like.

For starters, Dragon City has made some massive improvements in f2p experience since I've been gone. Take, for example, Joker Orbs. Before I recently came back to Dragon City, so about 2 to 3 years ago, Joker Orbs were an absolute pain in the ass to get. Now, we have things like the Arena Pass, which makes obtaining Joker Orbs a lot easier. Also, take the XL food box in the dragon TV for f2p players. I swear, and I could be wrong here, that was not always a thing.

Secondly, combat. While there a lot of things to criticize about Dragon City's combat system, it is undeniably a lot more interesting and fun than it used to be. Back when Dragon City first came out, while the combat system wasn't bad, it wasn't anywhere near as fun or interesting as it is today. The whole orbs system and being able to empower your dragons is actually a somewhat fun and interesting mechanic too, when it's utilized properly.

Third, breeding. While I have many, many gripes about the "new" breeding system, or just how they have done breeding in general, the fact that you can technically get a legendary on every single breed now, so long as the dragons you are breeding have the correct empowerment and perks is a nice little addition, even if I still think some of them don't make sense and that breeding itself deserves an overhaul. Not to mention, the fact you can actually SEE the potential results of what you are getting, without having to look up some random youtube video, is great.

Fourth, trading. I genuinely cannot stress enough how much I am thankful for this feature existing. Without it, obtaining certain dragons would become a damn nightmare, and I know Social Point is greedy enough to have very easily not implemented something like this, which makes me all the more glad that they did.

Fifth, design and graphics. While I am not a fan of the design direction that Dragon City took, going from actual dragons to more anthropomorphic lizard people, you absolutely cannot deny how much better they are to look at than the old dragons. You can tell just how much the visuals have improved if you just take a look at an old dragon and compare it to a newer one. Even if I don't like the design choices, you cannot deny that these new "dragons" at least look cool, especially the VIPs and the HVIPs. If they looked more like dragons, they would be quite literally perfect in my opinion.

Sixth, events. There is a lot of mixed feelings for me on events, and I definitely like some events a lot more than others (looking at you tower, and I guess puzzle too, even though that has been removed), but they do an excellent job of keeping the game from getting stale. Just think for a moment on what you would do if events didn't occur at all? I know that I would probably get bored of the game a lot more easily. The heroic race, even if it doesn't really give any strong dragons anymore, used to be a really good event. It occured fairly frequently, meaning if you were a new player who just joined, you didn't have to wait that long to see one, even if one just occurred, and they gave you the strongest rarity dragons in the game. That was such a cool thing and I really enjoyed them, getting really excited when they happened, and still do, even if to a lesser extent.

Seventh, ads. Oh boy there is a lot to unpack here. I really hate the fact that mobile games just spam ads at you for just existing and playing the game, and I'm really frutstrated that Dragon City seems to have taken that route too. Luckily, this doesn't seem to happen on my main accounts anymore even though it did when I had just come back. It still occurs on my new account (if anybody knows why this happens, please let me know), but one thing I do really like about how Dragon City does ads, or at least used to do ads, is the Dragon TV. Being given the choice to watch ads in exchange for some actual decent rewards was honestly something I really appreciated. You weren't forced to watch ads, but if you decided to you were actually rewarded for the time spent in doing so. The same thing extends to the ad skips for hatching and breeding and other wait timers. I really enjoy that they added that, instead of forcing you to spend gems any time you want to skip some ridiculously long wait time with gems.

Anyway, those are seven things I like about Dragon City. They aren't everything, but they are the major ones I can think of off the top of my head. Dragon City has definitely improved on a lot of things compared to where they once started, even if I feel like they take two steps back for every one step they take forward, but I wanted to change things up a bit and show that I do notice when they try to do good things and make good changes, and it is appreciated. Is there anything you think I've missed? And what do you like about Dragon City, new or otherwise?

You want to know a really niche feature that pisses me off and has genuinely no reason to be in the game?

When you promote to a new arena, for whatever fucking reason, Social Point decided it would be a good idea to have it automatically change your dragons to your "strongest" dragons. I have an idea, why not just leave the dragons I picked alone, as I picked them for a pretty damn good reason.

Why Tie Ruo Nan is the Most Annoying Character in RI.

What Tie Ruo Nan pursues isn't justice, but violence that can be exercised under the guise of self-righteousness.

In her early years, traveling with her father, she never knew what it felt like to be deprived of power and violence; back then, 'justice' was always on her lips. After her father’s death, she endured cold treatment at the Tie clan for a time, swallowing her pride until she secured the position of young clan leader. Once she had her own power and subordinates, she immediately went after Fang Yuan and Bai Ning Bing again, once more in the name of 'justice.'

At Shang Liang Mountain, realizing she couldn't touch them, she 'selectively' chose to believe them. It wasn't that Fang Yuan’s disguise as Fang Zheng was flawless, but rather that he gave her a way out, and she took it to save face.

Later, during the Three Kings Mountain event, she found a legitimate excuse. Since they had left Shang Liang Mountain, she led her gang of 'self-righteous' thugs to stir up trouble, only to be counter-killed by Fang Yuan. Forced to endure in silence again, she eventually found Bai Ning Bing. Bai Ning Bing provided her with both a 'righteous' reason and the brute force needed; thus, she struck at Fang Yuan once more in the name of justice.

Further on, while following Tie Mian Shen, she kept preaching about upholding justice. But when Tie Mian Shen was brutally killed by Fang Yuan (who was just in Southern Border looking for a bird), and she herself was nearly slaughtered, she didn't dare utter a single word.

Even in the end, when Fang Yuan has become a Venerable, she still prattles on about justice, fantasizing that Star Constellation and Giant Sun will annihilate him. At this point, she is still clinging to her 'self-righteous violence' only now, in her eyes, she is responsible for the 'righteous' talk, while Star Constellation and Giant Sun are responsible for the 'violence'

Living up to my title

So I realized that I have not really made nearly enough posts that live up to my title. This is inexcusable, so I seek to remedy that with this post. You, yes you, have been transported to the Gu World as an otherworldly demon. You are born in one of the five regions at random, with the exception of Central Continent. No matter where you are born, however, you are not born in a clan, but as a mortal. Through a random stroke of luck, you stumble upon a incomplete Gu Immortal inheritance. The immortal inheritance has 6 different Gu (you degenerates don’t get access to my Lust Gu) as listed below in the poll. The inheritance also contains the recipe for each Gu, some corresponding basic killer moves for each Gu, as well as a method to awaken your aperture, and various other cultivation resources, nothing too crazy, just some basics. You are allowed to choose 1 Gu and it’s corresponding recipes and killer moves. If you pick a Gu, you are officially of the demonic path, you will never be able to join the righteous path. You, as the inheritor, are expected to complete the inheritance and come up with new killer moves for the Gu you choose (let me know what killer moves you come up with in the comments.) If you choose not to pick any Gu, you may say so in the comments. I will list the killer moves and effects of the Gu below, so make sure to pick the Gu that suits you. All Gu are rank 1 and all killer moves are mortal level.

Pride Gu - evokes feelings of Pride in the opponent or yourself, the higher the rank, the stronger the emotions felt. The killer move provided is “Pride Cometh Before the Fall”. If your opponent has any pride in their heart, they become unable to use their Gu or their killer moves. The condition for this killer move to succeed is that you have to actually believe yourself to be superior to your opponent. If you don't, there is risk of failure or rebound. This Gu might be useful in Enslavement path, but there is nothing conclusive in the inhertiance.

Wrath Gu - evokes feelings of Wrath in your opponent or yourself. The higher the rank, the stronger the emotions felt. At the higher ranks, an opponent that is under Wrath Gu’s influence might end up attacking anything they see. The corresponding killer move is “Strength From Fury” when used on the user, it uses the anger of the Gu Master as fuel to boost the Gu Master’s strength. The stronger the anger, the stronger the Gu Master’s strength. This killer move can also amplify the strength of other killer moves depending on the degree of anger felt by the user. This killer move should be used in tandem with another killer move that is beyond the scope of this inheritance that allows you to maintain rational thought despite the anger. The inheritance indicates that this Gu might have some uses in fire and lightning path, but there are no further notes.

Envy Gu - evokes feelings of Envy in your opponents or yourself. Higher the rank, stronger the emotions. The corresponding killer move is “I Envy You” which allows you to copy your opponents killer moves. Their is a catch to this, however, as certain killer moves, ones that have no visual indicators when they are used cannot be copied. You also have to know what the effect of the killer move is ahead of time in order to copy it. If you do not actually Envy (the strength of the envy does not matter, even if the envy is miniscule, the killer move will function as normal) the opponent whose killer move you have copied, the effect might weaken upon use. This killer move seems to take inspiration from Transformation Path, there might be further research to be done on that.

Greed Gu - evokes feelings of Greed in your opponents or yourself. Higher the rank, the stronger the emotions. The corresponding killer move is “My Precious” the more wealth you have, be that primeval or immortal essence stones, Gu, mortal or immortal materials, the stronger the effect of this killer move. The killer move boosts your luck significantly. This killer move seems to take inspiration from Luck Path, there might be further reserach to be done on that. This Gu might also be useful in researching Theft Path, but there is nothing conclusive.

Sloth Gu - evokes feelings of Sloth in your opponents or yourself. Higher the rank, the stronger the emotions. The corresponding killer move is “Eternal Sleep” which puts any opponent to sleep. If a killer move is not used to counter this killer move’s effect, the person struck by this killer move will never wake up. This Gu could be useful in dream path, but the inheritance cannot confirm that. This killer move has a chance of rebounding under cetain conditions, if the killer move rebounds, you will be put to sleep instead of your opponent.

Gluttony Gu - evokes feelings of Gluttony in your opponents or yourself. Higher the rank, the strong get the hunger. The corresponding killer move has no name, as that is up to the inheritor. The killer move has an extremely simple effect. By consuming other Gu Masters, you can increase your cultivation. By consuming primeval stones (the killer move allows you to literally eat primeval stones), your restore primeval essence at around twice the efficiency as normal use of primeval stones gets you. This Gu seems to be useful for Food Path, but the inheritance has no further information on how.

Primal Sea, First Attempt

Haven't been having good results with Primal Terra, so I tried Primal Sea and this is the result. For starters, I messed arounnd with shading again, kinda looks like ass this time but there are some parts I was satisfied with. For the actual design itself, I tried making the spikes look like those long sprial seashells, didn't really turn out that well, gonna have to work on that. The plating on the back is a good start, but it doesn't feel like it's made of shells. There is honestly a lot more to improve than just that, but I'm not here to criticize my art into oblivion. Anyway, as always, any feedback is appreciated.

Random Thought

You know, and this has occurred to me before, but a lot of dragons should just be skins of other dragons, rather than being their own individual dragon. For example, the Supers and the Zombie variants of the regular elemental dragons should just be skins of the regular elemental dragons. Or Padron for example. Should just be a skin for Spicy Dragon rather than a whole separate dragon. I know some of these dragons were introduced before skins were really a thing or before Social Point had the idea to use skins for more than just a dragon's growth stage but the point still stands.

Pretty much the title, nothing to add here.
