So me (31F) and my husband (32M) just moved from RURAL Tennessee to the STL area. My family is from here and still lives here, we moved to be closer now that we have small children, they help with child care and it’s over all been a big change. There’s more to do, more jobs, more opportunities/fun. We are contemplating whether to move back or actually buy a house and settle in here. Pros of TN is that we could move back to the family farm, I wouldn’t have to work full time and we would have peace and calmness of the country. Cons, way way way less help with the kiddos, literally nothing to do without driving over 30 minutes to the biggest town, hardly any jobs or opportunities. We have to make big scary adult decisions and it’s hard to give up living some place fun while we are young, but on the flip side I’d love to be home more. Need more adultier adults help please 🤩
